JOURNAL TOPIC: [today's tunes: Mozart's Symphony #25 in G Minor]
There is a story about Thomas Edison in which one of his assistants said something like, "We've tried this a thousand ways and it doesn't work! We've accomplished nothing!" Edison reportedly replied, "Nonsense. We've learned a thousand ways it doesn't work." What's the moral of the story, and what is your perspective on the idea?

. It's part of being human. I'm sure even Albert Einstein made mistakes in order to prefect his theory. There is no book on how to be prefect because no one is perfect. Trial and error makes a person wiser. We must learn from all we do. Just an opinion
ReplyDeleteSo the poetry assignment is that memorization thing right? Is that due monday or friday and what is the best way to memorize the poem.
ReplyDeleteThe poem is due Monday, and just a little tip since I am memorizing the poem too...take it line by line and listen to the video a couple of times. The mans voice should help a little by sticking in your head a little more. Just a little tip from a class mate (:
DeleteThank you !
DeleteYou are welcome! (:
DeleteYa im confused where is the poem we had to memorize?
ReplyDeleteRudy I am not Dr.Preston but the poem is the one in the Levi's video. The man speaking is speaking the poem you need to memorize.
DeleteThe moral of the story is that error's can be annoying, but they can also be a step in the right direction. If you learn from errors, and you do not repeat the same, you are one step closer to completing your task or objective.
ReplyDeleteI'm have no idea how to use this blog I'm so confused...

Thomas Edison didn't look at failure as failure, he looked at it as learning progression.
